SUNBELT SENIOR PROFESSIONAL GOLF TOUR
EVENT BUDGET-MODEL

Preface, The Sunbelt Senior Professional Golf Tour for 14 years, has been successfully used as a prime component of golfing events. We are not event planners rather, a success proven element to assist in achieving event goals. The cost for adding this element is $20,000+ per event. Staging an event that ties into a professional tournament with a first class pro/am raises the bar when evaluating the stature of an event. Because of the inherent value of adding this component to the event venue, charges for the various income streams can be elevated to more than offset our fees and as this model will show, will contribute greatly to the bottom line the benefits of which, can be enjoyed by the sponsor, needy causes and/or charities. This model may appear to be aggressive to some. It is realistic. Six years ago, one of our sponsors was able to generate $10,000 in net proceeds to his chosen charity. The proceeds grew each year. This year the net proceeds, including all recoverable costs, exceeded $100,000.00.

VENUE: SENIOR PROFESSIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENT - 3 DAYS; PRO/AM FIRST 2 DAYS OF 3

MANAGED BY: THE SUNBELT SENIOR PROFESSIONAL GOLF TOUR; 36 PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS

THE PROFESSIONAL TOURNAMENT AND PRO/AM EVENT

The Pro/Am event will be played on the first two days and in conjunction with the professional tournament. 36 Professionals will play with 36 (4 amateurs) pro/am teams in a scramble or "shamble" format using the pro's recorded tournament score (when/where needed) as he plays a normal medal score or in effect, his own ball. Lower number of amateur players move play faster (e.g., threesomes) but in so doing, will lower income forecasts as detailed below.

The event starts with a pairing party the evening before (or the morning of) the event. After a golf clinic, a 10:00 A.M. shotgun start for both pro/am days with continental breakfasts (2), light box lunches for both days; light cocktail party after first pro/am day and an awards banquet follows the conclusion of the Pro/Am. The final day, after a continental breakfast, the pros tee-off in threesomes around 8:00 A.M. & conclude the tournament with lunch and check awards.
